Annotated Bibliography

Jones, C. (2022, July 27). How advancing technologies shape consumer behavior. The Earth Awards. https://www.theearthawards.org/technology-influences-consumer/

This site is a good source of information for talking about consumer behaviors and their relationship to technology. It has a decent framework making it easy to find the information I'm looking for. It also has several sections on convenience, shopping, social media, and mobile commerce. These subjects will be interesting to look at and will also help me to think about other things to research further.

BAIC. (2022). Impacts of technology on culture, tradition, and social values. Welcome – Baic.ORG. https://www.baic.org/impacts-of-technology-on-culture-tradition-and-social-values/

Although this is a short article, it surprisingly has a good bit of information about technology and its effect on culture, tradition, and social values. The article is written by the editor of BAIC which is a "premier source of culture-related writing". It was quite an interesting read and discussed how technology affects us as a society. This will also serve as a basis for analyzing the relationship between culture, humans, and technology.

NAGB. (2014). Framework archive. C. Effects Of Technology On The World Of Information And Knowledge. https://www.nagb.gov/naep-subject-areas/technology-and-engineering-literacy/framework-archive/2014-technology-framework/toc/ch_2/society/society3.html#:~:text=Students%20know%20that%3A-,T.,inform%20the%20decision%2Dmaking%20process.

This source is actually a framework for education and is from a government site that informs citizens about what the nation is learning. I thought this was interesting and the introduction portion of the page had some interesting points about how the world is in a sort of information age revolution. This term could spark some other sources of information and ideas for research.

Funk, S. H. (2023, February 1). The Future of Communication: How Ai is transforming the way we connect. LinkedIn. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/future-communication-how-ai-transforming-way-we-connet-sascha-h-funk/

This article posted on LinkedIn is a great source of information about AI and what challenges or benefits it could pose to the world. The author seems to be knowledgeable in AI and technology as a whole which lends to his credibility as the author of the article. He makes some interesting points, some of which could be used as quotes that could spark more discussion about AI, technology, and the world.

Blitchok, A. (2023, February 20). How technology is changing the way people work from home - btod.com. https://www.btod.com/blog/technology-work-from-home/

This source is an interesting read about how technology has changed the way people work from home. The author has a few sections about productivity, remote work, and work-life balance. She also links a case study about productivity which could also serve as a great source of information about remote work. Overall, a great article that will serve as a good source for quotes and other thoughts that may come out of points made here.

Anderson, M. (2023, October 5). Council post: How artificial intelligence could reinvent the communications industry. Forbes. https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbescommunicationscouncil/2023/03/09/how-artificial-intelligence-could-reinvent-the-communications-industry/?sh=71aa9301b7d4

This is another article about AI that delves into more mainstream AI software such as ChatGP. It also talks about how AI has affected marketing and creative fields. This will be a good source to look more into the different fields that AI has affected and possibly what good AI can do even though there are fears about the danger that it poses.

McDonald, J. (2021, September 1). What’s next? how digital media shapes our society. Home - UCLA School of Education & Information Studies. https://seis.ucla.edu/news/whats-next-how-digital-media-shapes-our-society

This is an article from UCLA which is an institution of higher learning and could yield solid information about digital media and how it affects society. It is quite a lengthy article that goes over a recent book by Professor Leah Lievrouw. While the article itself is a good source of information, the book itself could also serve as a quality reference in later writing about digital media and society.
